This Privacy Policy explains how VeilcastRPG ("VeilcastRPG," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our application and related services (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
When you register for an account, we collect the information necessary to create and maintain that account, such as your email address, password (stored in encrypted/hashed form), and any display name or campaign data you choose to enter within the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used solely to create and operate your account and to provide you with the Service — for example, authenticating your login, saving your characters and campaign progress, and enabling account recovery. We do not use your account information for any purpose beyond operating your account and the Service.
3. We Do Not Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. Your information is only accessed by the infrastructure providers necessary to run the Service (such as our hosting and payment processors), and only to the extent needed to provide that functionality — never for any independent use of their own.
4. Your Rights (Texas Residents)
If you are a Texas resident, you have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to:
- Confirm whether we are processing your personal information, and access it
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format
- Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling (note: we do not engage in any of these practices)
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
5. How to Request Deletion of Your Data
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing hello@veilcastrpg.app with the subject line "Data Deletion Request," or through our Contact page. We will verify your identity and process your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.
6. Age Requirement
The Service is rated 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your information except where retention is required by law.
9. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
10. Developer & Publisher
VeilcastRPG is built and published using the Base44 platform (base44.com), which hosts the application's backend infrastructure and processes data on our behalf to operate the Service.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective" date above when changes are made.
